I checked in around 6pm on a Friday night, the front desk staff is super friendly and amazing. I noticed that the grounds are really pretty and well kept and the lobby area was really grand and beautifu. I got to the room and immediately changed and went to the main pool area. The pool area was cleaned and well maintained. When I got back to the room I changed and got ready for dinner, we had dinner at the restaurant on site (Echo) which I will get to later. When we got back to the room and really looked for the first time we noticed how dirty it was. There was hair all over the bathroom. All over the sink like where a man had shaved, all in the tub just everywhere and I get it, its a hotel and impossible to get all of the hair. Then the floor around the sink was pretty dirty, I noticed Bobby pins on the floor around the room that weren't ours, I noticed the bed was made in a hurry. When we pulled back the blankets we didn't have a fitted sheet on the bed... at this time it was 1030pm and they offered to send us a fitted sheet and complimentary breakfast which was nice but I didn't want to remake the bed at 1030 we ended up sleeping on a flat sheet we were only going to be there one night, we also didn't plan to eat breakfast. The carpet is also old and worn and bunched up in some places, i almost tripped on the way to the bathroom. The resort is old and it does show wear and tear which I find normal but for a few dollars less than $300 a night I do expect it to be clean and the bed made right. As far as the restaurant we had reservations at 9pm, we arrived at 850pm and we're seated. We didn't see our waitress until around 910pm. So we did sit there about 20 minutes until we were assigned a waitress. She was apologetic and the manager was as well. They did comp some of the meal which we did appreciate. The porckchop was good but I recommend staying away from the Alfredo as it wasn't good and I didn't even eat any of it. However it looked really pretty. However they were still very kind. So all in all the resort is pretty but it is older. It's in a great location with beautiful views. The staff was really great and friendly. However the cleaning is not up to par in my opinion. Maybe I should've checked the room better before dinner and I didn't. Either way I'm not sure if we would return for the price considering the cleanliness of the rooms.

View and pool were fantastic! The beds were a bit high and will be trouble for someone with mobility issues. No microwave in room and we were unable to request one. Overall the hotel was gorgeous, location was fabulous, and front desk employees were very friendly. Beach has the softest sand.

The rooms aren’t bad. They seem a little thrown together. Some stains and some dirt but fine other than that. Food is great but the bartender with the dark slicked back hair isn’t kind or attentive. My mom and I waited at the bar for 15 minutes after we tried waving him down several times. Made eye contact with us but didn’t care to come over. After my mom finally was able to speak to him, asking for dinner menus and drinks he basically waved us off and walked away. Turns out he went to the restroom which we found out after we were walking out

The King and Prince Beach Resort was such a lovely experience. The views alone set the tone — calming, expansive, and exactly what you hope for when you escape to the coast. It’s a historic property, and you absolutely feel that in the rooms. You’re not coming here for modern updates, but the character and charm more than make up for it. What truly stayed with me were the little moments: the thoughtful service, the comfortable amenities, and most of all, the sunrise. Watching the sun come up over the water was unforgettable — one of those rare moments that remind you why you travel in the first place. A beautiful stay from start to finish.

We are in the second day of our stay and continue to be disappointed. No coffee maker in the room, no body wash in the bathroom, dirty carpet with stains. Today we went inquire about our dinner reservations that we made over a week ago and we were told that we did not have a reservation. They did offer to get the manager however we decided we did not want to give this place any more of our money. This is an expensive hotel and we did not mind paying the nightly rate of over $400 however I expected better. On the positive side the pool and the ocean access are perfect. We love St Simon’s and will definitely be back but not here. Update day 3 elevator broken! 😡
