Every year I attend a training in Atlanta and every year I can't wait to return to Max Lagers. It's easily my favorite restaurant experience, and I've eaten at some amazing restaurants world-wide. From the craft beer, to the conversation comfortable setting, to the friendly southern hospitality, and the outstanding food, it's simply unbeatable. Just look at this perfect medium New York Strip I ordered today. Take my advice: give this place a try. *edit: don’t pay with the QR code on the table unless you’re okay with an extra fee. Just pay your server and avoid that altogether.

UPDATE!! 2.20 We went back to for my birthday and we had a COMPLETELY different experience. First big thing was our server, Ariel. She was so great. Super attentive. We never had to go looking for her, unlike our first waitress. The restaurant was much busier than our previous time here and Ariel still made sure to check on us multiple times throughout our dinner. My husband and I both ordered different things this visit but we did get the spinach dip again, which was just as good this time as it was last. He ordered the hamburger, which was cooked to his liking, and he had no complaints. I got the Pasta D’avellino, no mushrooms, and it was absolutely delicious. I truly enjoyed it. The portions were big enough that we both needed to-go boxes. I did order myself a birthday dessert to take with me. I highly recommend the bourbon bread pudding. I almost regret sharing my piece with my husband. This time around, I ordered a drink from the bar. The Peach Smash was delicious and perfectly balanced. Kudos to the bartender. Oh and the gentleman who sat us at our table, he checked on us as well as others. I wish I knew his name but he was wonderful. 10/10 experience this time around. I recommend everyone giving this restaurant a try. December 2025: We came here for our anniversary dinner Saturday evening and it was our first time in. We were sat immediately which was great but our server, who never told us her name, was awful. She gave us waters right away and took our order fairly quickly but she never came back to check in on us or see if we wanted any drinks other than the waters. She never came back to even give us a refill on those. My husband had to get up to ask for steak sauce, then again for Togo boxes and then again for our check. If it was busy I would understand but it wasn’t at all. There were maybe 5 tables and multiple servers so that wasn’t an issue. We got the spinach artichoke dip and we liked that a lot. I ordered the fried chicken with pepper jelly and it had pretty good flavor but way over cooked. the breading was burnt on a part of it. The collards were on the sweeter side which was different but not bad. My husband had a steak which was cooked perfectly but he wasn’t a fan of the seasoning on it. Would have loved to order dessert but clearly our server wasn’t interested in helping us beyond the initial interaction. Definitely could’ve been a whole lot better experience.

Food was delicious. I had the salmon and probably one of best I’ve had. Cheese grits were spot on too! My husband says the buffalo wings were amazing. For dessert we tried the fried cheesecake- it was good- but the vanilla ice cream served with it was out of this world!

OMG The food was amazing. From the flight or beer to the ribeye that was cooked perfectly. Do not sleep on dessert. Ashley our waitress was the best
