I visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening for dinner. It wasn’t very crowded, and we were seated right away. The atmosphere was relaxed , a comfortable spot for conversation over a meal. We started with fried calamari. It was decent but fairly basic ; nothing particularly memorable. We skipped drinks and stuck with water. For the main course, my friend ordered a sandwich with fries, and I went with a trio of sliders, also served with fries. The sliders were good and satisfying. The fries were fine as well, though they could have used a bit more seasoning , just lightly salted and otherwise pretty standard. We didn’t order dessert. Overall, it was a perfectly okay dining experience , nothing extraordinary, but a solid, simple meal.

One of my favorite places, and I’m at so thrilled that they are no longer closing! Everything from the ambiance, beer, service, to their made-from-scratch food is perfect for a weeknight meal or a gathering with friends. Can’t go wrong with anything from the menu. Thank you, Steins! Update: Visited on 8/15/25 and, sadly, things are not the same under new management. The menu has changed almost entirely, and the food quality is not up to par with what it used to be. I will miss the OG Steins dearly.

A nice sport bar in the MountainView downtown. Very spacious bar with indoor and outdoor seating. The service is very good. They have some nice collection of beers on tap. Thought they keep changing beers, we found some good ones. The food was average and served quickly. The atmosphere is good. They also allow kids which makes it good for families.

Our group had a disappointing experience here. We arrived around 6:45 pm, but it felt like the restaurant was trying to close much earlier than the posted 9 pm closing time. We were told the kitchen closed at 7 pm, followed by last call at the bar at 7:15 pm. By about 7:50 pm, we were asked to pay and leave because the restaurant planned to close at 8 pm. This wasn’t communicated clearly when we arrived. And this was a Saturday night! The atmosphere became uncomfortable very quickly. Music was turned off, TVs weren’t showing current sports, and it felt like guests were being rushed out rather than welcomed. The food was fairly bland and nothing memorable. There is a good beer selection, which might have helped if the overall vibe had been better. This place has always seemed busy in the past, so we expected a much better experience.

Spaetzel? This is just boxed macaroni pasta. The whole reason I came to a German restaurant is for German food. The pork schnitzel wasn't that good, and the side of spaetzel was a lie.
