I have been coming to the Mad Italian as long as I have lived in the Atlanta area. About ten years now. This restaurant is fantastic, homey, and delicious. It is truly a happy place to be. The cheesesteaks are some of the best in Atlanta, quite possibly the very best. They have amazing wings and terrific pasta and excellent pizza. My friends who prefer the leafy things love the salads and there are many other things on the large menu that I have not yet tried. The Mad Italian first opened in Atlanta way back in 1973 and they have been going strong in Chamblee ever since 1981. Their original location in Chamblee closed within the past ten years or so and they have a pretty much brand new spot literally about two doors down on Savoy Drive. Fantastic, modern restaurant facility. Unbeatable location. Top notch service. Friendly ambience that feels like home. Excellent service. And the best food you can get for the price. Stephanie who manages the restaurant always has a smile on her face as she's making sure that everything is running smoothly and that all the guests are taken care of. Carla is a new addition to the Mad Team and she has an awesome way with the guests and is such a positive person! Go see for yourself why they have the "best cheesesteak south of Philly" and why this place has been a neighborhood and citywide favorite since 1973!

Not bad, it was okay; just a bit boring even with the live music. Everything felt super basic: the chairs, the tables, and the food too, nothing special. A music band of elderlies playing and singing, felt like they’re enjoying their time but also felt like they’re performing in their garage for themselves not like in a restaurant for customers which is cool though. A few others were eating not caring about their surroundings, food was fine but nothing exciting. The waiter was friendly but the guy behind the bar wasn’t really approachable, didn’t seem to care much, not very professional tending the bar. Honestly, everything was just average. Good for a one-time visit, but I wouldn’t go back didn’t vibe with it too much. That’s my two cents.

A great place with great food. Wings were perfect. Lemon Pepper & Caribbean Jerk. Wifey had a pizza & I had a Steak Calzone both excellent. But the best thing i had was the HUGE BOWL of Rigitoni Sausage Soup. Great flavorful comfort food on a wintery day. 5/5 85.00 with tip The Mad Italian, You have been #tonguetested

Mad Italian used to be great. Now it is so inconsistent. Got 3 sandwiches to the tune of $60 + tip. The 10 in cheesesteak had plenty of steak but beef barely cooked. Blood inside bun. The two chicken cheese (10 in) had no chicken to speak of. Come in MI. I’ve been a patron since you opened the doors. You can do better. ☹️

Took a very random visit to The Mad Italian, my husband and I entered kind of tired out with a 5 and 3 year old. The entire staff was so courteous to us and helpful. I believe ms Audrianna was one of the servers names, she treated is like long lost relatives she missed seeing. Great variety of food for adults and the kiddos. Great portions for the pricing. They also have a full bar. I was told theyve been in the area over a decade, and I witnessed how before my very eyes! Definitely a family fav now
